--Anand Kishor Mehta
Intelligence is, by nature, a function of the mind — it gathers, compares, stores, and analyzes information. It is sharp, logical, and analytical. But consciousness does not belong to the mind — it is the luminous presence behind the mind, a silent witness that does not react but reveals.
In the early stages of life, we rely on intelligence to understand the world. It is shaped by education, experience, and memory. But as long as intelligence remains untouched by consciousness, it becomes a mechanical process — like a powerful computer disconnected from the soul.
However, when consciousness begins to awaken, a miraculous transformation occurs. Intelligence slowly begins to drop its ego, pride in logic, and attachment to knowledge. It becomes humble, refined, and devoted — and starts to serve a higher spiritual purpose.
Intelligence is Limited — Consciousness is Infinite
- Intelligence gathers facts.
- Consciousness perceives truth.
- Intelligence thinks.
- Consciousness witnesses thoughts.
- Intelligence changes with time, experience, and learning.
- Consciousness is unchanging, eternal, and pure.
As we connect with consciousness, intelligence becomes aligned with truth. It ceases to be the master and becomes a sacred instrument.
🌿 The Brain: Not the Source, but the Medium
The brain is often seen as the source of intelligence. But in truth, it is only a tool, like a beautiful instrument. And consciousness is its musician. Without consciousness, the brain produces no music.
When the inner light of consciousness flows through the brain, intelligence becomes:
creative, compassionate, and intuitive.
It doesn’t just think — it feels.
It doesn’t just grasp what is — it begins to sense what should be.
Consciousness Transforms Intelligence at Higher Levels
As one ascends the ladder of spiritual awareness, intelligence undergoes profound transformation:
- At lower levels, intelligence is reactive, entangled in ego and self-preservation.
- At intermediate levels, it becomes integrative, able to connect the visible and the invisible.
- At the highest level, intelligence turns into silence — nothing is left to be known, only to be realized.
Through deep meditation and surrender, intelligence eventually merges into consciousness.
Then no questions remain, because the questioner dissolves.
Conclusion: Let Consciousness Be the Guide
In today’s world, we worship intelligence, yet we forget the power behind it — consciousness.
In truth, without consciousness, intelligence can lead to confusion, conflict, and pride.
But when intelligence is purified by divine awareness, it becomes a:
servant of truth,
path to love,
and channel of spiritual understanding.
Let us not strive to become more intelligent,
Let us strive to become more conscious —
Then intelligence will naturally follow,
just as light follows the sun.
